Despite the rain, the stars of Disney+’s latest Australian Original series, “The Artful Dodger,” graced the red carpet on a Wednesday night to celebrate the much-anticipated premiere. The series, exclusively available on Disney+, boasts a stellar cast, including Thomas Brodie-Sangster, David Thewlis, and Susie Porter.
David Thewlis, a distinguished actor, made a stylish appearance in a green shirt paired with brown pants. Completing his ensemble with a pair of cool kicks, he exuded confidence as he posed for photographs and engaged with the media.
Wentworth star Susie Porter also attended the premiere, catching up with StarCentral in an all-black outfit that radiated elegance and sophistication.
The star-studded event saw the presence of various renowned personalities, including Miranda Tapsell, Damon Herriman, Jessica De Gouw, former Home and Away star Emily Weir, Tim Minchin, Jack Irish, and beloved Aussie comedian Kym Gyngell, among others.
“The Artful Dodger,” which premiered on the streaming giant on November 29, promises a captivating narrative. A spin-off from Charles Dickens’ classic novel “Oliver Twist,” the series delves into the adventures of Jack Dawkins, also known as ‘The Artful Dodger,’ 15 years after the events of the original Dickens novel.
The red carpet premiere not only showcased the talent of the cast but also heightened the anticipation for a series that offers a fresh perspective on a beloved literary character. With its star-studded cast and unique spin on a classic tale, “The Artful Dodger” is poised to become a standout addition to Disney+’s lineup.
