Jenny AluningWhen June 2014’s Fashionista of the Month, Tiffany Roque, entered middle school, she started to collect “the best” shoes and follow the right trends. She saw how people responded positively to what she wore, and this was the vital influence needed for her to produce her own unique outlook on fashion and style. It all started out in 2013, when she posted her outfits on Instagram for fun. She just wanted to make out a small career out of it, but things changed when her first sponsor, FilthyRichBeautiful, called her up and asked if she wanted to be their fashionista.
Tiffany can mouth clichés like, “It, [fashion], allows someone to express themselves to others through their style.” But that is not enough for our young fashion maven, who prefers saying that, “Fashion/style is simply pushing boundaries to make yourself happy. I don’t like to dress for other’s approval; I like to dress in a way that makes me feel confident.” The women in her family are always stylish and up to date, but there many influences other than family on her current style. She follows the lovely Instagram fashionistas, her daily inspiration for outfits!
She has worked with up and coming fashion photographers. For her, it is the most exciting and amazing thing to see their dedication at work, and she points to a valued number who have earned her true admiration and respect. For the many people who influence her, she is in search for singular passion which makes her want to work harder and accomplish her own fashion goals. She has since learned that it is impossible to please everyone in the industry – people could try to bring you down, especially if you come up with something new and non-mainstream. With an eye on the main thing, Tiffany Roque cuts ties and burns bridges to maintain her fashion integrity like the best do in the business.
All of her relatives applaud and are proud of her work. Such luck with family support has made her strive and gain great strides not only in the profession but with her education objectives: she is keen on earning her Bachelor’s Degree by 2015 and earns a Masters in Biochemistry or some other concentration in grad school. Ultimately, she wants to make her mark in Pediatrics.
Tiffany Roque has the stage name TiffanyRoq. She is 22 years old and has a twin sister. She is currently taking up a Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health Science. She has a long-term relationship (8 years!) with her current boyfriend she describes as “wonderful.” A Filipina, she is based in Los Angeles whose favorite down time things are going to Disneyland with friends who have Disney passes, watching YouTube vides of her favorite beauty gurus, and color coding her closet. Her other talents include singing, dancing, sketching and online shopping.

1. What is the one beauty product you can’t live without?
Eyeliner! I would look like a child without it.
2. What is the most dramatic thing you’ve ever done to change your looks?
I dyed my hair a bright red color.
3. What is in your makeup bag when you travel?
Eyeliner, mascara, my favorite eye shadow palette by the lovely ItsJudyTime, eyeshadow brushes, and my Anastasia brow pencil.
4. What is the one “flaw” you wouldn’t change about yourself?
Even though I have been made fun of in the past, I wouldn’t want to remove/hide my birthmark. I have learned that it makes me unique. My family and friends say I, “wouldn’t be Tiffany without it.”
5. Your best guilty pleasure
…Besides shopping, anything sweet!!
