Instagram posts tagged with #nomakeup have since been collectively searched 19,853,897 million times, while the hashtag #nomakeupselfie is responsible for 603,053 Instagram searchers.

Now, new research by million reader cosmetic surgery information website Tajmeeli has revealed the Top 20 Most searched for celebrities without makeup on Google.

Based on annual Google searches from the past 12 months, the celebrity that is most searched for ‘without makeup’ by a landslide is American rapper, Cardi B. She received an enormous 2.7million ‘no makeup’ searches.

Following in second place is Ariana Grande No Makeup; racking up 1,188,000 across Google.

A quick Google search reveals at least 13 occasions Ariana has ditched cosmetics and uploaded fresh-faced selfies.

Third place goes to Kylie Jenner No Makeup, who has 1,129,320 Google searches, while Jennifer Lopez No Makeup takes fourth place with 772,320 Google searches.

It’s refreshing to see these stars flaunting their natural beauty.

The Power of Hashtags

Instagram uses of the hashtag #nomakeup and #wokeuplikethis selfies have exploded in popularity in the last year, possibly due to the pandemic putting a pause on any occasions for dressing up or wearing makeup.

As a result, it’s no wonder celebs, makeup artists, and the likes, are hash-tagging their beauty transformations, tips, and favorite products on their Insta feeds to capitalize on this fresh-faced trend.

Impressively, Instagram posts tagged with #nomakeup and #wokeuplikethis have racked up usage numbers over 25 million combined.

While Instagram posts tagged #nomakeupneeded, #nomakeupmakeup and #nomakeupday have tallied up well over 10 million uses.
