My name is Kerry-Anne Peterson and five things people don’t know about me are:
1. I have seven shelter dogs and four rescue cats.
2. My background is Macedonian-Indian.
3.I have raised over $45,000 for various charities.
4. I am a model and study paramedics part time.
5.I hope to one day open my own animal shelter.
2.Do you think that the future is as bright for your generation as it was for your parents? Why or why not?
I think the future will be even brighter as technology keeps on advancing, People have achieved so much already and the quality of our lives should continue to improve.
3.Drug abuse continues to be one of the world’s most serious social problems. What do you think is the best way to handle this issue?
The best way to combat this issue is through education- show people what happens with substance abuse. Show everyone the terrible effects that drugs have on one’s mental and physical wellbeing. Families are destroyed through emotional & financial strain due to drugs.
4.What purpose will beauty have in a world dominated by computers?
Every purpose! Computers can do lots of things but it cannot appreciate beauty or art – these are human dimensions and will always be here no matter how sophisticated computers become.
5.What do you think is the greatest contribution of Australia to the entire world?
Australia’s greatest contribution would be our innovations; we are a country full of inventors. Australia’s inventions have changed the world – look at the black Box flight recorder, the Victa mower, the Hills Hoist etc. John O’Sullivan is actually a personal hero of mine.
6.What is one law you wish you could amend?
I would definitely like to see marriage equality, love is love and everyone should have the right to marry.
7. What would you like to be remembered for as a titleholder?
I would like to be known for making an impact in the lives of everyone I meet; I want to be a positive role model and mentor.
8. What is the one thing you would like people to learn from your social media profiles?
I would like them to see how strongly I value my family. You can also catch me sharing my charity fundraising efforts.
9. If ignorance is bliss, why do we seek knowledge?
We seek knowledge because it is only through knowledge that we can grow and improve ourselves.
10. If you had to write an autobiography about yourself, what would be the title and why?
The Title would be “Where to next?” it would be about my life growing up and advice about situations I have been through and how to remain optimistic and positive no matter what obstacles I encounter.
