The Miss Multiverse Australia, QLD regional finals was definitely not for the faint-hearted. The models were tested on a variety of physical abilities, runway skills, photographic skills and much more.
On the 31st of August, seven contestants from the Reality TV show, I Am Multiverse, fought hard to gain a place in the National Finals. Only ten models from around the country will have the opportunity to be flown to Sydney for the final round of the competition.
The adventure company, Green Frog Adventures, lined up a series of challenges for the models to test their fitness, endurance, flexibility and stamina. Activities included indoor rock climbing at their centre, Adventure Empire, jogging, archery and bubble soccer.
“The models really exceeded our expectation”, said judge, Hiwa Motifex. “Some of the models were fitter than others, but all of them completed all the tasks. This was quite impressive considering what was expected of them.”
The first day was followed by a day of rigorous catwalk training, rehearsals and interviews. Coach and TV personality, Diab Metry, pushed the girls to help them achieve the best of their catwalk ability.
“I could not be happier with the quality of models that we have from Queensland this year”, says National Director, Yolandi Franken.
The gorgeous Links Hope Island was the host for the fashion show. The contestants looked stunning in their designs from Typico Style Swimwear, Dressed by Jaz, The formal Gallery, Del Valle Jewellery, Very Nass, Ace Optics, and Goddess by Nature. The venue was also beautifully decorated by Wow Weddings who is a supporter of the TV Show.
Unfortunately, only three of the seven models were accepted as a National Finalist.
