Karolina has been modeling for about six years; she was recently one of the finalists at the Miss World Australia pageant this year. Her pageant journey dates back to when she competed in the Miss Global pageant which was held in the Philippines back in 2015. She had the opportunity of meeting 50 different girls from all around the world. That fantastic experience taught her so much about building her self-confidence, leadership, and forming new friendships. She really came out of her shell that year hence the reason why she placed in the top 10. We recently caught up with Karolina and here’s what went down:
How did you feel about entering Miss World Australia?
I was very positive and excited to enter in the Miss World Australia pageant this year. Any experience like that is an excellent opportunity to meet new people and grow within myself. I believe that you never know who you may meet or where it might lead you, so you need to be always open to any new opportunity.
Tell us something unique and interesting about you?
When I was about four years old, I was at my family holiday house in Poland… It was in the afternoon, and everyone was hot and tired, they wanted to have a rest. My older brother by three years went next door to his friend’s house to play, and I decided I wanted to follow them. I was distracted by a particular pine cone on the ground.. and went to pick it up. At the same time, a few meters away the dogs were getting fed and the mum dog, being overly protective, charged towards me and pushed me on the ground and attacked me. Initially, everyone thought I had lost an eye as there was blood all over my face. To this day I have a scar on my left cheek, everyone thinks it looks like a dimple… I have been very challenged in accepting this, especially in my modeling career. Despite this tragic story, I absolutely adore all animals especially dogs. Oh, just to let you know… it was a sausage dog.
