Get ready, Melbourne! The highly anticipated Metro Comic Con is set to take over the Melbourne Showgrounds this weekend, 13-14 July, with an exciting line-up of special guests and activities that promise to make this pop culture convention an unforgettable experience.
This year’s stellar line-up of film and TV guests includes Aaron Moten, known for his roles in Fallout and Emancipation; Jamie Bamber, famous for Battlestar Galactica and Law & Order: UK; Freddy Carter, star of Shadow and Bone and Pennyworth; Bill Farmer, the iconic voice of Goofy and Pluto; Patrick Warburton, from Family Guy and Seinfeld; Ethan Peck, featured in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Discovery; Christina Chong, also from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Halo: Nightfall; Brandon Routh, who portrayed Superman in Superman Returns and starred in Legends of Tomorrow; Sam Phillips, known for Bridgerton and The Crown; Jessica Madsen, from Bridgerton and Rambo: Last Blood; voice actor Matthew Waterson, recognised for X-Men ’97 and Doom Eternal; Tony Amendola, from Stargate SG-1 and Annabelle; and Mitch Pileggi, famous for The X-Files and Supernatural.
In addition to these incredible TV and film stars, the convention will also feature a host of renowned comic book artists and writers, including Nicola Scott, an artist for DC Comics and Black Magick; Daniel Picciotto, artist for Marvel and Ghost Rider; Jon Sommariva, an artist for Marvel and DC; Andrew Constant, writer for DC and Knight Terrors: Titans; Dillon Naylor, writer and artist of Batrisha the Vampire Girl; Tom Taylor, writer for DC and Marvel; Katie Houghton-Ward, artist for Indigiverse and Gestalt Comics’ Dark Heart; Gary Proudley, editor and writer for Gestalt Comics and Talgard; and Trey Wood, an artist for Gestalt Comics and Talgard.
Metro Comic Con is a pop culture extravaganza celebrating fandom in all its forms, featuring multi-genre content with appearances from film and television stars, comic book artists, voice actors, gaming demonstrations, and Cosplay competitions.
Taking place at the Melbourne Showgrounds on Saturday, 13 July, and Sunday, 14 July 2024, the venue will be transformed into Metro City for the weekend.
