Sarah Tute, a 26-year-old representing Victoria in the Miss Earth Australia 2024 competition, epitomises the spirit of an all-Australian country girl. Growing up on acreage in southwest Victoria, she was constantly surrounded by family, animals, and nature. Her early years were spent riding and showing Quarter Horses in western performance horse riding, where she achieved remarkable success at both state and national levels.
Sarah’s deep-seated passion for wildlife conservation and her mission to combat extinction were nurtured by her upbringing near the bush. During primary school, she learned about the rich biodiversity in her local area, sparking a lifelong commitment to protecting wildlife. This dedication led her to pursue and graduate with a Bachelor of Veterinary and Wildlife Science from Federation University Australia. Her education has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute meaningfully to wildlife and habitat conservation efforts.
Sarah’s dream is to establish her own wildlife sanctuary, a haven where Australian species can thrive in their natural habitats, free from invasive species and other threats. She envisions her sanctuary as a vital step towards restoring balance to Australia’s environment and supporting the natural circle of life.
