20th Century Studios’ highly anticipated film Swiped is set to make its debut this September, premiering at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival on September 9 before its exclusive release on Disney+ on September 19, 2025.
Swiped draws inspiration from the compelling real-life story of Whitney Wolfe Herd, the visionary founder behind the revolutionary online dating platform Bumble. Portrayed by Lily James, Whitney Wolfe’s journey unfolds as a recent college graduate who defies the odds in a male-dominated tech industry. With relentless determination and innovative spirit, she launches not one but two groundbreaking dating apps, ultimately becoming the youngest female self-made billionaire in history.
Directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Bill Parker and Kim Caramele, Swiped boasts a talented ensemble cast.
