My path into digital media definitely didn’t feel obvious at the time. I was working in corporate accounting and building my blog and social media on the side whenever I had free time. At first, it was simply something creative I loved doing outside my day job.

What motivated me to take the leap was seeing small signs that something meaningful could grow from it. My audience was slowly expanding, people were engaging with the content, and I realized how much I genuinely enjoyed building that community.

I gave myself a practical timeline. I decided to treat it like a six-month experiment and see if I could turn that passion into something sustainable. That mindset made the decision feel less like abandoning stability and more like giving myself the chance to explore a new path.

Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful I took that chance because it allowed me to build something that blends creativity, entrepreneurship, and community in a way I never imagined when I first started.

Your audience across platforms like TikTok and YouTube has grown to more than 13 million followers. What key strategies helped you scale your presence so effectively across multiple platforms?

One of the biggest things that helped me grow across platforms was understanding that each platform has its own language.

Instead of simply reposting the same content everywhere, I studied how people were engaging on each platform. Short-form video, long-form storytelling, quick tutorials, and behind-the-scenes moments all resonate differently depending on where your audience is watching.

Another important factor was consistency. For many years, I treated creating content like a full-time job, even before it technically was one. Showing up regularly and learning what my audience connected with helped me refine my voice over time.

Most importantly, I’ve always tried to focus on building a real community rather than just chasing numbers. When people feel connected to you and your content, growth tends to follow naturally.

Your early content focused on fitness and yoga before evolving into lifestyle, DIY, and parenting. What inspired that pivot, and how did it shape the direction of your brand?

When I first started creating content, fitness and yoga were a huge part of my life, so it felt very natural to share that. But over time, my interests started to expand.

I found myself getting excited about so many other things—DIY projects around the house, organizing spaces, testing beauty products, and sharing everyday ideas that made life a little easier or more fun.

I think social media works best when it grows alongside the person behind the account. As my interests evolved, it felt natural to start sharing more of those things with my audience.

That shift ultimately made my brand feel much more complete. Instead of focusing on one niche, I created a space where people could find inspiration across many aspects of everyday life.

Many people see the public side of content creation, but not the business strategy behind it. How do you approach building and managing your brand as a structured business operation?

Because of my background in accounting, I’ve always approached my platform with a strong business mindset.

While the content itself is creative, a lot is happening behind the scenes. Contracts, negotiations, revenue planning, partnerships, and long-term strategy are all part of running a digital brand.

I think of my platform as both a creative outlet and a business. The creative side is what allows me to connect with people, but the structure behind it is what allows it to grow sustainably.

Having that balance has been incredibly helpful. It allows me to make thoughtful decisions about partnerships, plan for long-term growth, and build systems that support the business as it evolves.

You’ve successfully grown from a solo creator to leading a team. What were some of the biggest lessons you learned while transitioning from creator to business leader?

One of the biggest lessons I learned was that growth requires letting go of the idea that you have to do everything yourself.

When you start as a solo creator, you’re used to being involved in every detail. But as the business grows, it becomes impossible to maintain that pace without support. Learning to build a team and trust the people around me has been one of the most valuable shifts in my career. It allows me to focus on the creative vision and the bigger strategic picture.

It also reminded me that building something meaningful is rarely a solo effort. Having the right people around you can elevate both the work and the experience of creating it.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned through years of DIY projects is that creativity matters more than budget.

Some of my favorite transformations in our home have come from simple changes like rearranging furniture, adding paint, or repurposing pieces we already had. Those small adjustments can make a huge impact without requiring a big investment.

Another tip is to mix higher-end pieces with affordable finds. A few timeless items paired with budget-friendly décor can create a space that feels intentional and elevated.

At the end of the day, the goal isn’t to replicate a designer showroom. It’s to create a home that feels comfortable, functional, and personal to the people who live there.

Balancing motherhood while running a multi-platform brand can be demanding. How do you manage your time and priorities while raising your children and operating a growing business?

Balancing motherhood and business has definitely required me to become much more intentional with my time.

Running a digital brand means there are always new opportunities and ideas, but becoming a mom helped me realize how important boundaries are.

I try to structure my workday so that when I’m working, I’m fully focused, and when I’m with my family, I’m present with them. It’s not always a perfect balance, but that intention has helped me prioritize what truly matters.

In many ways, motherhood has made me a more focused entrepreneur because it pushes me to spend my time and energy on what is most meaningful.

The digital landscape is constantly evolving. As platforms and trends shift, how are you positioning your brand to stay relevant and continue growing in the years ahead?

The one constant in this industry is change, so I’ve always tried to approach it with a mindset of curiosity and adaptability.

Rather than getting comfortable with one format or platform, I try to stay open to experimenting with new ideas and learning from how audiences are engaging with content.

Another important part of longevity is diversifying your business. Expanding revenue streams, exploring different types of media, and thinking beyond a single platform help create stability even as the digital landscape evolves.

At the end of the day, the goal is to keep growing alongside the industry rather than staying exactly where you are.
