ASAP XP Australia proved to be exactly that—a once-in-a-generation celebration of Filipino talent, music and heritage that transformed Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre into the beating heart of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) on 25 July 2026.
Months of anticipation culminated in a day that exceeded every expectation as ABS-CBN Global, ABS-CBN Studios, and TFC Australia, New Zealand & The Pacific delivered one of the biggest Filipino entertainment events ever staged in Australia. Featuring two blockbuster performances at 12:30 pm and 7:00 pm, the production brought together more than 30 of the Philippines’ brightest stars for an unforgettable showcase that united thousands of Filipinos from across Australia under one roof.
From the moment the lights dimmed to the final standing ovation, ASAP XP Australia reminded audiences why the iconic variety show has remained a beloved institution for decades. Every performance celebrated the richness of Filipino artistry while reinforcing the strong connection between the Philippines and the thriving Filipino-Australian community.
The evening’s remarkable lineup read like a who’s who of Philippine entertainment. Audiences were treated to appearances by Anne Curtis, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Kim Chiu, Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, James Reid, Darren Espanto, TJ Monterde, Moira Dela Torre, KZ Tandingan, Kyle Echarri, Maymay Entrata, Paulo Avelino, Alexa Ilacad, AC Bonifacio, Angeline Quinto, Erik Santos, Jhong Hilario, Robi Domingo, Vhong Navarro, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Sofronio Vasquez, Jona Viray, Klarisse de Guzman, Elha Nympha, Esang, Kai Montinola, Maki, Carmelle Collado, and Melai Cantiveros.
Bringing together artists spanning multiple generations created an extraordinary concert experience where legendary performers seamlessly shared the spotlight with today’s biggest stars and tomorrow’s rising talents. It was a reminder of the incredible depth and diversity of Filipino entertainment.
Among the evening’s most unforgettable musical highlights was KZ Tandingan’s breathtaking rendition of the timeless classic “Bato sa Buhangin.” Her emotionally charged performance showcased the vocal power and artistry that have made her one of the Philippines’ most celebrated performers. The audience responded with thunderous applause, creating one of the concert’s defining moments.
Another emotional highlight came when the legendary ASAP Legends—Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Ogie Alcasid, and Zsa Zsa Padilla—shared the stage for a spectacular collaborative performance. Seeing five of the country’s most iconic entertainers performing together was a powerful reminder of the enduring legacy of Filipino music and entertainment. Their commanding stage presence and effortless chemistry captivated audiences from beginning to end.
The future of OPM was equally well represented as the New Gen Divas—Esang de Torres, Elha Nympha, Alexa Ilacad, Kai Montinola, and Carmelle Collado—delivered a powerhouse vocal showcase that highlighted the next generation of Filipino performers. Their performance blended youthful energy with remarkable vocal maturity, earning one of the night’s loudest ovations and proving that Filipino music continues to evolve while maintaining its unmistakable excellence.
One of the evening’s most heartwarming moments belonged to Jhong Hilario and his adorable daughter Sarina, whose appearance together sent the Sydney audience into an absolute frenzy. Their playful interaction and undeniable father-daughter chemistry created one of the show’s most memorable highlights, with thousands of fans cheering, laughing and capturing the precious family moment on their phones.
Adding to the evening’s entertainment was one of the funniest segments of the entire production—a hilarious parody introducing IF4, a playful reimagining of the legendary Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden. Hosted with perfect comedic timing by Melai Cantiveros, the imaginary Philippine adaptation featured Robi Domingo as Hua Ze Lei, Donny Pangilinan as Dao Ming Si, Darren Espanto as Xi Men, and Kyle Echarri as Mei Zuo, while Melai herself hilariously portrayed the beloved heroine Shan Cai. The audience erupted with laughter throughout the skit, proving once again that ASAP’s unique blend of music, comedy and variety remains one of its greatest strengths.
However, perhaps no performance carried greater emotional significance than that of Anne Curtis.
Making her first-ever performance in Australia, the country where she was born and spent part of her childhood, Anne’s return was far more than another celebrity appearance—it was a heartfelt homecoming. As she stepped onto the stage, thousands of fans rose to their feet in an emotional standing ovation that echoed throughout the sold-out venue.
Confident, charismatic, and effortlessly commanding the stage, Anne delivered a performance that could only be described in one word: fearless.
The emotional connection between Anne and the audience was unmistakable. For many Filipino-Australians who have followed her remarkable journey over the years, seeing her perform in Australia represented a full-circle moment that made an already extraordinary evening even more meaningful.
