Miss Tonga Australia 2023: And The Winner Is…

The Miss Tonga Australia 2023 pageant was an incredible and glamorous event that brought together culture and beauty in a mesmerizing display. Held at the Manor on Elizabeth in Wetherill Park, Sydney, this exclusive black-tie affair showcased the top three finalists competing for the coveted title of Miss Tonga Australia 2023.

The pageant, which took place on the evening of Friday, May 19th, attracted an enthusiastic audience dressed in their finest black-tie attire. The guests were treated to a sumptuous three-course dinner, refreshing drinks, and a captivating pageant night show.

The event not only celebrated the beauty and grace of the contestants but also highlighted the importance of their roles within the Tongan Australian community. The crowned winner of Miss Tonga Australia 2023 would serve as a leader and ambassador for the community for an entire year. Additionally, she would have the honor of representing Miss Tonga Australia at the prestigious Miss Heilala Pageant and various international competitions. All the finalists had the potential opportunity to represent Tonga at future international pageants, including the highly anticipated Pageant of the World 2023.

Among the three finalists, each representing different regions and villages, there was an undeniable sense of pride and cultural heritage. Sisilia Tavalu Taufui, from Campsie, Sydney, proudly represented Vava’u. Loketi Serenity Mahoni, with Tongan and Lebanese heritage, showcased her roots from Kolomotu’a and Ma’ufanga. Monica Vave, hailing from St Clair, Sydney, represented Kolomotu’a, Lapaha, Vai ko Puna, and Vaimalō.

In addition to the main title, special awards were given to the contestants who excelled in different categories. Monica Vave won the Best in Tau’olunga, showcasing her talent and grace. Loketi Serenity Mahoni received the Best in Sarong award, displaying her elegance and poise. Sisilia Tavalu Taufui was recognized as the Best in Interview, demonstrating her intelligence and charisma. Loketi Serenity Mahoni also took home the award for Best in Talent, impressing the audience with her unique abilities. Finally, Monica Vave was honored with the Best in Evening Gown award, radiating beauty and sophistication.

After a tough competition, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived. The second runner-up was announced as Sisilia Tavalu Taufui, followed by Loketi Serenity Mahoni as the first runner-up. The winner of the Miss Tonga Australia 2023 crown, and the title of Miss South Pacific Aromas, was revealed to be Monica Vave.
