The official gala screening of The Drover’s Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson was recently held at the Ritz Cinemas, Randwick on Thursday, 28th April 2022 – it celebrated the unique, bold, and visually striking film created by the powerhouse polyglot, Leah Purcell.
Leah Purcell was also honoured with a star on the Australian Film Walk of Fame outside the Ritz in a special ceremony conducted by Dylan Parker – the Mayor of Randwick.
Some of the talents who attended the red carpet of The Drover’s Wife: The Legend of Molly Johnson included Leah Purcell (Writer/Director/Producer/Molly Johnson) and the cast members which included Rob Collins, Malachi Dower-Roberts, and Tammy McIntosh as well as producers Bain Stewart, David Jowsey, and Greer Simpkin.
Some of the VIP guests who attended included Narelda Jacobs (Moderator; 10 News, NITV); Miranda Tapsell (Top End Wedding, The Dry, The Sapphires); Susie Porter (Gold, Wentworth, The Monkeys Mask); and Rahel Romahn (Australian Gangster, Here Out West, Mr. Inbetween).
