Paramount Unleashes Trailer at Star-Studded ‘The Naked Gun’ Reboot

Get ready to laugh until it hurts — The Naked Gun is officially back! Paramount Pictures has just dropped the brand-new trailer for the highly anticipated reboot of the iconic slapstick comedy, hitting Australian cinemas on August 21.

Starring Liam Neeson as the bumbling but determined Lt. Frank Drebin Jr., the film is a fresh take on the beloved franchise that once starred Leslie Nielsen. This time around, Drebin Jr. follows in his legendary father’s chaotic footsteps, bringing a whole new generation of outrageous police antics to the big screen.

Directed by Saturday Night Live alum Akiva Schaffer (Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping) and produced by comedy powerhouse Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy), the film boasts a dynamic cast that includes Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, and Danny Huston.

Expect explosive gags, ridiculous stunts, and the kind of absurd humour that made the original Naked Gun trilogy a cult classic. With a screenplay penned by Dan Gregor, Doug Mand, and Schaffer himself, this reboot is set to honour the legacy of the original while delivering fresh laughs for modern audiences.

The Naked Gun is a collaboration between Paramount Pictures, Domain Entertainment, and Fuzzy Door Productions.

Don’t miss the return of the world’s most disastrously dedicated detective. The Naked Gun lands in cinemas this August 21.
