It’s a well-known fact that Avengers: Infinity War has sold a lot of tickets, but most people didn’t expect it to beat the sales of the last seven Marvel films.
According to comicbook.com, there’s still two weeks left before its official release in the big screen, yet Infinity War has already beaten Black Panther’s record by a margin of two to one in Fandango ticket presales and is also selling more presale tickets than the last seven Marvel Studios movies combined.
That’s quite a remarkable feat, especially when you consider that those last seven Marvel films include some blockbuster hits. The last seven Marvel Studios movies were Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2, Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War, and Ant-Man.
The thing is, there’s still two weeks until Infinity War hits theatres, so the number of ticket sales is just going to keep going up making it one of the most successful films EVER.
Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said: “Infinity War has built up such unprecedented anticipation that it’s pacing to break records, the likes of which we have never seen before for a superhero movie… Moviegoers are rushing to guarantee their seats in advance for what is sure to be one of the most talked-about movies of the decade.”
We can’t wait to see this epic movie ourselves. All hail Infinity War!
