JadeThe blue bananas are actually known as the “ice cream” banana – some people said it tastes like vanilla custard while others are saying it tastes just like vanilla ice cream so yeah – it’s definitely a fruity dream!
The banana can apparently be found in Australia, Hawaii, and also some parts of Asia – but it’s very hard to find.
Tropical plant retailer Wellspring Gardens have made Blue Java starter plants available through Amazon, which means that you can grow your own blue bananas in your very own backyard. The Amazon description for the seed reads: “You will be receiving 1 plant between 3 & 8 inches in a 3-inch deep pot… Growing your own fruit results in better tasting and better for you delights!”
