Tesla founder Elon Musk has been tweeting some pretty bizarre things lately, but his latest tweet cost him an insane amount of money.
Just recently Musk went on a weird tweeting spree ranging from selling almost all his physical possessions, to giving people back their freedom, to his girlfriend being mad at him… but one specific tweet cost Tesla BILLIONS.
According to BBC, Must felt that the Tesla stock price is “too high” – that simple tweet just wiped off an insane $14 billion off Tesla’s value as investors bailed on the company. It also wiped $3bn off Musk’s own stake in the company.
Several Tesla stockholders were understandably annoyed with Musk’s tweet, but with Musk on warpath with his random tweets – who knows what he’ll tweet next.
