Sangita Konar is an international model and actress and the reigning Mrs. India Alberta Canada 2020-2021. She was initially born and brought up in India but is currently living in Calgary, Canada. She belongs to a highly educated and famous doctor’s family and she completed a Master’s Degree in Information Technology Studies in Australia so she’s a highly educated woman.
As an international model/actress, she has worked on several short films, commercials, and music videos in Canada. She has also appeared as a cover model for a number of international fashion magazines. She ranked top 7 overall for the 2021 Heart Of Hollywood (USA) Spring Cover Model Contest and ranked top 10 overall for the group round for Maxim’s 2021 Cover Model Contest (USA). She has also won several titles such as “India Next Super Model 2021” and “Ms. Gorgeous Star Faces Of India 2021.” She’s currently a brand ambassador of the International Fashion Organization based in Canada and she was even selected as a judge of the talent show and fashion show.
Sangita has an excellent academic background besides following her passion. She has worked for many different organizations, she loves travelling and in fact, she has travelled to various countries all over the world.
StarCentral Magazine recently caught up with Sangita to discuss her journey in the industry and here’s what went down:
What is your journey like as an international pageant winner?
My journey of winning “Mrs. India Alberta Canada 2020- 2021 ” and representing Alberta Canada on an international platform has been a wonderful experience. I have had interviews with major magazines and news channels. I am also the winner of “India’s Next Super Model 2021” as well as the title “Ms. Gorgeous Star Faces Of India 2021.” I am a brand ambassador of the International Fashion Organization, in Canada and I was also selected as a judge of the talent show and fashion show. As a queen, I am representing my country, the global community and contributing towards the best for the global community and society.

What has been the most memorable experience of being in the beauty pageant industry so far?
I felt a lot of happiness and excitement when my name was called out as the winner. It felt like a dream come true. I always dreamt of winning a crown – I would want people to remember me as a queen. Due to my numerous achievements and commendable works as a queen, I have inspired many people around the world. I would like to travel all over the world and continue to work on various modelling and acting projects.
What has been the most valuable lesson you’ve learned while on your journey? This can be about the industry or yourself.
I do believe winning a pageant is a responsibility. Besides being a representative of my country, I’m also a representative of the community, and it is an opportunity to increase awareness for different social issues and to solve social issues. That was my biggest inspiration to participate in a pageant. As a queen, I want to focus on global issues. While talking about the global issues, I emphasized the lack of education and women in technology as sensitivity concerning issues. Belonging to a family of doctors, I believe that global health care can be improved by study, research, and practice of medicine with a focus on improving healthcare worldwide.
Who is the biggest cheerleader in your journey to becoming an international pageant winner?
First, my parents have always inspired me to follow my passion and achieve my dreams. Then comes my friends and fans who have always loved and supported me.
If you could go back in a time machine to when you were just getting started, what would you do differently?
Nothing. I’ve always been very confident and goal-oriented. I always prepare myself to be the best to bring excellent outcomes.
What is the best advice you have ever been given?
The advice I would like to give everyone is; work hard and follow your passion.
What advice would you give to the women who are thinking of following in your footsteps?
A lot of times contestants are not well prepared for their pageants. I have seen a lot of contestants lack confidence, and lack knowledge about fashion, and catwalk. Hard work and proper training are definitely required when it comes to pageants. Be yourself and be confident. Confidence is the key to success. Always maintain a positive attitude.
