Our recent crop of Musicians of the Month have such a varied repertoire that they have a sound for everyone! Enjoy their latest musical offerings!
1. Justin Klunk
Justin Klunk, StarCentral’s Musician of the Month for October 2012, credits his 2-week stay at the GRAMMY Camp (held by the GRAMMY Foundation) as the catalyst for building up the confidence he needed to take his music to the next level – ““They took me in when I didn’t feel I was as good as the others at the time, and helped me get better and build confidence in myself…” Through the Foundation he was able to go behind-the-scenes at the recent GRAMMY Awards rehearsals where he not only met Justin Timberlake, but spent time with the popular performer and throw back a few shots with him! Justin also recently achieved another career milestone. Through the program, ‘Kickstarter,’ he was able to raise the funds necessary to record his debut EP! Stay tuned for this incredibly talented saxophonist!

2. Tera Catallo
It is through YouTube that the world gets to appreciate Tera Catallo, StarCentral’s Musician of the Month for November 2012. Her YouTube Channel, ‘TeraCMusic’ has garnered nearly 800,000 views so far. In it she uploads covers not of classical musical pieces but of the everyday – giving them an elegance not usually associated with say, a video game theme. She uploads covers of trailers, movie soundtracks, pop music as well as some Korean pop songs! The talented violinist, pianist and singer has already released one original song, ‘Meadow’ and is due to release another, ‘Time Traveler.’ Enjoy the musical stylings of Tera Catallo.

3. Matthew Janovsky
Matt Janovsky, our Musician of the Month for December 2012, is not your typical violinist. You won’t hear the soaring strains of classical music coming from this young man’s violin. Instead, you will hear every other genre…except classical music, whether it be electronic/dance, rock, pop music or country! Matt is an ardent admirer of fellow innovative violinist, Lindsey Stirling and he is an administrator for the “Official Lindsey Stirling Fan Group” on Facebook. Here he is performing Stirling’s “Crystallize.”

4. Terry Chen
To say that Terry Chen has a lot on his plate is an understatement! StarCentral’s Musician of the Year for 2012 is not only musically gifted with the ability to play 6 instruments – piano, guitar, violin, bass, drums, and recorder, he is also sports-mad, a track and field athlete, a techie geek, and likes to get his hands dirty with some car detailing! Whew! But the 17-year old’s passion will always be music. His latest YouTube video features Terry performing with Ray Gibson an awesome cover of Rihanna’s recently released single, “Stay.”
