Mariah Carey’s performance during Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve became a hot mess when the vocal track malfunctioned and threw off her lip syncing while she was performing on stage.
The audio malfunction came about while Mariah was preparing to sing her classic “Emotions.” She instantly stopped singing and said “I’m trying to be a good sport here” as she explained to the crowd that the vocal track was missing. She jokingly tweeted “Sh*t happens… Here’s to making more headlines in 2017,” later referring the incident.
