Three students from Taiwan collected water from 100 different water sources and then turned them into frozen popsicles that look pretty enough to eat. But don’t you dare touch these popsicles because they’re quite toxic – they’re actually made out of sewage water found in some of Taiwan’s polluted waters.
Hung I-chen, Guo Yi-hui, and Cheng Yu-ti actually hails from the National Taiwan University of Arts and their “Polluted Water Popsicles project” was created for the sole purpose of raising awareness towards water pollution. The three students created the popsicles using transparent polyester resin – they also made wrappers for the popsicles that represented the different regions from which the polluted water samples were taken. This is a unique way of bringing awareness to water pollution using a totally different approach.
